Welcome to Term 2!
I have a question for you, are you ready to put the pedal to the metal? During the month of May we have students performing at the Nightcliff SeaBreeze festival, the DanceStep program kicking off and our first ever Debut show!
The wait is over! Uniforms have arrived and your orders are available to pick up! Uniform is compulsory (either branded or studio colours) so please check the uniform requirement document here.
Pre-orders for uniforms will be live Tuesday May 4th via your Dancestudio-Pro accounts.
We are also very excited about a few new additions of decoration just around the corner too so keep your eyes out to see what changes we will make to the waiting room…

International Dance Day
On Friday 30th April we celebrated International Dance Day by hosting a FREE DANCE CLASS at the studio! We debuted an original song, “Come Alive”, that was created specifically for International Dance Day, by award winning and Emmy nominated duo, Rockwell & Litvin. ?
Their work has been featured on Disney, Netflix, and Marvel and I can tell you first hand, the song is sooooo good!
We taught brand new, original choreography to “Come Alive”, which was created by none other than Lady Gaga’s choreographer himself, Richy Jackson! ??
We took our students down to Nightcliff to perform and film the dance which we will be sharing with the Dance Studio Owners Association and Richy himself! Keep your eyes out for the video.
SeaBreeze Festival
Come on down to the SeaBreeze Festival, May 7-8 and watch our Royal X teams dance and entertain the crowd! I am so excited for our students to get the opportunity to perform in local events, I am even more excited about the new team we put together specifically for Seabreeze to give other students the opportunity to experience performance and team bonding without the pressure of competitions or a long term commitment – “Royal X All In”.
Our students will be performing on the dance stage at 6:45pm-7:00pm
Royal X Debut
Debut is our Elite and Crew students debut performance before our competition season kicks off, a chance for all dancers to perform, have full support from their peers and receive formal feedback from their teachers. Debut was designed to be a chance for all the RoyalX family to view the competition routines they might not get to see otherwise in the 2021 competition season. As well as this, Debut is an opportunity for our performance teams to raise money that will go towards team building activities and future Nationals Competition Trips.

MidYear Showcase – June 20th, 2021
Save the date for our annual MidYear Showcase (MYS)! MYS is a casual performance that gives parents a chance to see what your child has been learning in dance so far this year. Every student gets the opportunity to take the stage.
I am excited to announce that this year MYS will be hosted at Sitzler Netball Stadium in Marrara. Tickets will be released to the public in a few weeks time, but you can pre-purchase yours here => https://dancestudio-pro.com/tickets/royalexistence
DanceStep
Our Royal X DanceSteppers are enrolled, have been assigned their classes, and are ready to go!
These students will be partnering with our teachers at the studio; Maddy F, Pruella A, Lucy M, Nathaniel M, Tully Z, Isobella C, Caitlin M, Amalia B, Kirra B, Riley L, Sophie H, Elliana P, Emly P, Andrea C and Adele B.
DanceStep empowers students to take care of others and guides them to be leaders and role models. The program covers assistant teaching skills such as behaviour management, different learning needs and styles, Safe Dance Principles and Anatomy to name just a few. These concepts are broken down to be taught in a sequential and age appropriate way to children from ten or eleven years of age. Whether students are considering a career in dance teaching or otherwise, the DanceStep program is a great preparation for many aspects of life.
Car Parking
For the safety of our students walking into classes and out of respect for the other tenants in the complex, we ask that everyone please park in the cul-de-sac.
We encourage the “Kiss ‘n’ Ride” arrangement with your children. On Saturday’s some of our students take our pet Ostriches down with them to the cul-de-sac and they are more than happy to walk your child up to the studio.
If you do park in the venue you will be asked to re-park in the cul de sac.
